Who are you?

I am Sharon Moffitt. I'm a mental health trainer, guest speaker, and cancer awareness ambassador. Ask me a question about breast cancer, whether it be treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgery, or supports that might be available to carers and for anybody who is navigating cancer.

How are you?

Today I'm feeling fantastic. I feel really awake, alive. I can taste food again. So today I'm feeling really fantastic.

How do you feel now you have completed chemo?

There's two sides to completing chemotherapy. So I have had seven rounds of chemo, so six months worth, so for six months, chemotherapy. Everything that comes with that side effects. Weekly visits to the hospital, blood tests, actually having the chemo have been part of my life. And then suddenly when that stops, there's this real element of loss that I really wasn't expecting. And you would think that I can't wait for chemo to never happen again. But the reality is I quite miss being around people that I can be myself with and talk about cancer that really understand.

Have you experienced any different side effects since our last session?
