Who are you?
Hi, I'm Philippa Gillham, director of Pricing at Bupa UK Insurance. I look after the pricing of our B2B PMI products for our SME corporate and trust clients, as well as our dental insurance and cash plan products.
What is your background?
I'm a qualified actuary and have worked at Bupa in the pricing team since 2012. Over that time, I've looked after the full range of insurance products ranging from our individual consumer customers all the way up to our largest health trust clients. My career started in 2005, and I've always worked in some form of health insurance pricing, including individual and group income protection, critical illness, and PMI working at a handful of other insurers before joining Bupa.
What are the different pricings for Bupa customers, who are considering Private Medical Insurance?
There are two types of pricing we offer here at BUPA for our business, PMI policies. The first is experience rated pricing, which is available to our corporate clients. The second is age rated pricing, which is available to our SME clients.
