What is psychosis?

Well, I think psychosis is really misunderstood, so hopefully my answers will help clarify things for you. Psychosis is effectively a mental disorder that can affect our thoughts, our perceptions, and our emotions. People experiencing psychosis lose contact with reality. Now, psychosis is different for every individual, but there are some common experiences that actually bind psychosis together, and those are delusions, hallucinations, and thought disorder.
