Who are you?

Hi, my name's Sally Orange, and that really is my name and why I'm dressed as a piece of fruit. I am a mental health campaigner and a fruity one at that because I am the only person in the world that's ran a marathon dressed as a different piece of fruit on every continent, and I use it as a way to raise awareness of mental wellbeing. And so please feel free and ask me any questions you may have about depression.

Have you ever had therapy?

I've had numerous types of therapy ranging from CBT, compassion focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, different talking therapies and mindfulness, and they've ranged from group sessions to individual sessions. So overall, I've tried lots of different types of therapy.

What is it like having depression?

Depression is one of the hardest things to have to live with. It's taken me to wanting to end my life and just wanting to get away from that constant negative chatter and just feeling worthless and as though there's no real place for you on this earth really.
