Who are you?
My name is David Veal and I am a consultant psychiatrist at the South London Masty, NHS Foundation Trust, and a visiting professor in cognitive behavioural psychotherapies at the Institute of Psychiatry Psychology and Neurosciences at King's College London.

What does OCD stand for?
OCD stands for Obsessive compulsive Disorder. So obsessive means that you have obsessions. Compulsive means that you may have compulsions, and disorder means it is something that's thought to be sufficiently time consuming, distressing, and interfering in your life.
